Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 3 September 2026
This policy sets out what is and is not allowed on Zoomaa — for travellers booking seats, for people sending parcels, and for the transport companies that carry them. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and breaking it can cost you your account.
1. Who may use Zoomaa
You must be able to enter into a binding contract, and the details you give us — your name, phone number and email — must be true and yours. Accounts are personal: do not share your account, book under someone else's identity, or use payment details you are not authorised to use.
2. Keep your account secure
You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in and your device secure, and tell us immediately at zebachsmoak@gmail.com if you think someone else has access to it.
3. Things you must not do
- Fraud. Using stolen or unauthorised mobile-money wallets, cards or identities; making bookings you have no intention of travelling on in order to obtain a refund, a promotion or a discount.
- Payment abuse. Raising a chargeback or a payment dispute for a trip you took, or for a booking our records show was delivered as described, instead of using the refund process.
- Abusing seat holds. Holding seats you do not intend to buy, or repeatedly holding and abandoning inventory so that other travellers cannot book it.
- Reselling. Reselling tickets or trading them for profit. A ticket is issued to the passenger named on it.
- Abuse and harassment. Threatening, harassing or discriminating against drivers, station staff, other passengers, or our support team.
- Attacking the platform. Scraping, automated access, reverse engineering, probing our security, interfering with our systems, or trying to reach data that is not yours.
- Anything unlawful. Using Zoomaa to commit, plan or conceal an offence, including money laundering or the movement of the proceeds of crime.
4. Items that may never be sent as a parcel
Parcels ride in the hold of a passenger bus, alongside people. The following must never be handed over at a counter, whatever the declaration says:
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives and fireworks.
- Illegal drugs, narcotics and controlled substances, and the equipment used to produce them.
- Flammable, corrosive, toxic, radioactive or compressed-gas goods — including fuel, gas cylinders, and industrial or agricultural chemicals.
- Cash, gold, precious stones, bank cards and other high-value valuables.
- Live animals, and any part of a protected or endangered species.
- Human remains or body parts, and untreated medical, biological or clinical samples and waste.
- Perishable food or anything needing refrigeration to stay safe on a journey of several hours.
- Counterfeit, smuggled or stolen goods, and anything that is illegal to possess, sell or move under the laws of Ghana.
The sender is responsible for what is inside the parcel and for declaring it honestly. The operator may open and inspect any parcel before accepting it, may refuse it at the counter, and must report unlawful contents to the authorities. A parcel refused at the counter is refunded — see the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Rules for transport companies
Companies selling on Zoomaa agree to the Operator Agreement, accepted in the Zoomaa Partner app. In addition to it, they must:
- hold and keep current every licence, insurance and roadworthiness certificate their operation requires, and give them to us on request;
- run trips as listed, honour every valid ticket, and mark cancellations and delays promptly and truthfully;
- keep schedules, seat capacity and prices accurate;
- not take passengers introduced by Zoomaa off the platform to avoid commission;
- use passenger data only to run the trip — never for marketing, resale or any other purpose;
- not discriminate against any passenger on grounds protected by Ghanaian law.
6. What happens if this policy is broken
Depending on what happened, we may:
- refuse or cancel a booking;
- suspend or close an account, or remove a company from the platform;
- hold a company's settlement while we investigate a suspected fraud, dispute or mass refund;
- recover from a company any refund, chargeback or processing cost their conduct caused; and
- report unlawful conduct to the police or other authorities.
Where it is fair to do so we will tell you what happened and give you a chance to answer first — except where acting immediately is necessary to prevent fraud, harm or a breach of the law.
7. Reporting a problem
To report a breach of this policy, an unsafe trip, or a parcel you believe should not have been carried, email zebachsmoak@gmail.com or use Support in the app. Tell us the booking reference if you have one.
